The Town of Ontario, New York is located in Wayne County on the southern shore of beautiful Lake Ontario, fifteen miles east of the City of Rochester. Ontario is home to a population of 10,000 as well as the Ginna Nuclear Power Plant and the rapidly developing Beh Industrial Park. The town proudly supports and maintains two major parks; Casey Park and Bear Creek Harbor at Thompson Park. The Wayne Central School district serves the majority of the community, providing top-notch academic opportunities to students in grades K-12. NYS Route 104, a major east-west traffic artery, extends through Ontario to the major tourist areas of the Thousand Islands and the Adirondack Mountains. Ontario is a wonderful place for those who seek a high quality of life and value the many benefits of a friendly close-knit community.
